Provenance
This looking glass came from Albany, New York, and descended from John Tayler (1742-1829), Lieutenant Governor of the State, and one of the wealthiest men in Albany, and with the finest house, about 1790-1810. It was made in New York where it was part of the estate of Sir William Johnson (1715-1774), Colonial Commission of Indian Affairs.
