Chippendale Carved Mahogany Dressing Table

Taped to the inside of the upper drawer is a note in pen and pencil which reads: "For Wm. Estes & Mabel The Table with drawers and brass handles in Parlor which I used as a little girl to keep my school books & study my lessons When I Stayed at my Grand-parents & later it was given to me by my Uncle Wm. F. Jones, I also want them to have the Antique Chair in the Parlor that belonged to my dear sister Mary & the Small round Table in the Library from Mother" Written in pencil inside the lower right drawer is the following: Isaac C. Jones (1767-1865); Lydia J. Wistar (1804-1875); Hannah J.W. Hacker (1835-1921); Wm. E. Hacker (1867-1944); Wm. Hacker (1907-78). Inscribed on the bottom of the upper drawer: "Wm. F. Jones"
