The crest is said to be that of the Sargent family (Epes Jr. and Sr., as well as John, Daniel, Winthrop, and Paul Dudley Sargent) were purchasers of Revere's work and were charged for spoons.

Crested with the Sargent arms: crest of a dolphin jumping over a striped baton. Marks: "Revere" in a rectangular reserve.
